All leathers are vegetable-tanned certified and sourced from the Santa Croce Sull’Arno region of Tuscany.  Vegetable tanning uses a high concentration of naturals oils and fats and requires very little maintenance.  With normal use, a light coating of saddle soap once a year is all that is needed.  

Initially this leather may feel stiff.  You will feel the difference after about a week or so of constant use, that is yields to a more pliable touch.  The more use it gets, the softer it becomes. 

Rubbing the leather with your fingertips will erase most light scuffs or marks.  Unless the surface is “broken” by deep scratching, these scuffs and marks are the personality that this leather takes on with use. 

No azoic colorings, nickel, chrome or harmful chemicals are used in the tanning process.  These properties make them ideal for those with sensitive skin.  The leather may have some excess coloring on the surface.  When your bag is new, some color may rub off on clothing or skin.  Please use care when wearing light colored clothing.  There is nothing toxic or harmful, and will wash off with soap and water.
